Sweet Revenge Sloppy Joe

With kids in school and busy schedules one of our favorite, easy, go-to meals is Sloppy Joe. When your schedule is packed, sometimes it's nice to have something easy with only a few ingredients to feed the family fast.
What you'll need:

  • 1lb Ground Beef
  • Salt / Pepper for taste
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 Bell Pepper Diced (seeds and membrane removed)
  • 1 Onion Diced
  • 16 oz. canned Petite Diced Tomatoes
  • Sweet Revenge Original Red Gravy Barbecue sauce

To start this dish we need to brown the ground beef in a large pot.

Once the grounds have cooked we will need to separate as much of the cooked off fat using a cup or a ladle and discarding it. After removing the fat from the grounds move the grounds to a separate bowl

Using the same pot, add a tablespoon of olive oil and allow it to get hot.  Once the oil is hot add the diced onions and bell pepper and incorporate well using a spoon or spatula.  Set burner to medium heat.

Now add a little water just to cover the onion and bell pepper mixture and sauté until the onions become translucent.

Once the onions are translucent add the tomatoes, grounds, and Sweet Revenge Original Red Gravy into the mixture and  stir until well incorporated.

Let simmer for 20 to 30 minutes stirring occasionally

Turn the stove off, let your pot of Sweet Revenge Sloppy Joe cool then enjoy plain, on a bun, or open faced. Other variations we love are serving it on slider buns or mixed with macaroni and cheese!
