Sweet Revenge RIBS in the Oven

We may have discovered the secret to perfects ribs! And you won't  believe how easy they really are!  Slow cooked fall off the bone ribs are something everyone can admire.  The patience it takes in getting the flavors right, the timing right, all to make sure those bones come out CLEAN! All you are going to need are some at home essentials and your oven. Here is what you are going to need:

  • Sweet Revenge Mustard Barbecue Sauce (Sweet Revenge Honey Mustard also works great)
  • Sweet Revenge Sweet Barbecue Rub
  • Sweet Revenge Barbecue Sauce (for dipping or topping)
  • Water

​To start, take your RIBS out of the refrigerator and place it in a 4 inch deep pan lined with tin foil to sit out.  Let it come to room temperature for about an hour. 

Next, preheat the oven to 275 F
 
Once the RIBS are up to room temperature, flip them over to to show bone side up.  Using the back of a spoon peel off the chewy membrane and pat them dry with a few paper towels.

Next open your bottle of Sweet Revenge Mustard Barbecue Sauce  and add to a bowl.  Mix 1 tablespoon of water into 1/2 CUP MUSTARD BBQ SAUCE just to thin it out a little. (makes it easier to get in the tight spots). Rub or brush the mustard into all areas of your RIBS.

Now coated with your Mustard Barbecue Sauce binder. You are going to apply the rub.  Pop the lid on your bottle of SWEET BARBECUE RUB.  With the meat side up (bone side down) generously coat your RIBS with your rub. Once coated lightly pat the rub to make sure it sticks. 

Now flip and coat the bone side up.
Once finished wrap the RIBS with the tin foil.

Cooking time

At 275 F the ribs will cook for around 1 hour 15 minutes per pound.
(ex. 2lbs x 1.25hrs = 2.5hrs cooking time)

Once the timer for RIBS goes off, turn off the oven and leave them to rest in the oven for another 60 MINUTES. 

Now is the moment you’ve been waiting for.  Take your RIBS  out of the oven and unwrap them showing the world your creation.  You can devour them just at they are or you can choose to finish with your choice of SWEET REVENGE BARBECUE SAUCE 

Now using a sharp knife, cut along the same side of each bone for single bone servings (makes them easy to distribute). And now it's time to enjoy and get saucy!

I recently learned about this mustard trick. And I have been making awesome ribs this past year. So I definitely would like to get your rub and your mustard sauce and other things for my next set of ribs. But seeing your recipe here, gave me faith that you guys know what you're doing!!
