Honey BBQ Glazed Salmon

8/9/2022

We were looking for ways to jazz up our fish menu and decided to experiment with our newest flavor.  Traditionally, we’ve baked salmon in the oven with lemon juice and citrus seasoning then topped with fresh dill, which always turns out amazing.

Here are three other methods you can try.
What you'll need

  • Salmon Filet
  • Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue sauce

  1. In the skillet
    • Starting with a thawed salmon filet, let it set out and bring it to room temperature.
    • Get a skillet hot and coat with a non stick spray or oil of your choice.
    • On medium high heat, place the salmon filet in the pan skin side up for three to five minutes, depending on the filet thickness.
    • Flip and cook skin side down for an additional three to five minutes.
    • Generously baste the top of the salmon filet with Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue sauce.
    • After three to five  minutes flip the filet sauce side down and sear until the barbecue sauce glazes.
    • Once the Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue is glazed on the salmon, remove from the pan and allow it to rest.
    • Once it has rested, it's time to enjoy!

  1. In the oven
    • Preheat your oven 350F.
    • Starting with a thawed salmon filet, let it set out and bring it to room temperature.
    • In a pan large enough for the salmon, place it skin side down.
    • Bake in the oven for ten minutes. (should the salmon be covered?)
    • After the initial ten minutes, top salmon with 1/4 inch pads of butter and place back in the oven for an additional five minutes.
    • Take the fish out of the oven and increase the oven temp to 400F. While the salmon is out, generously glaze the top with Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue sauce.
    • Once the oven is up to 400F, place the salmon back in the oven for two to five minutes, or until the sauce has a nice glaze to it.
    • Once the Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue has glazed well on the salmon, remove from the oven and allow it to rest.
    • Once it has rested, it's time to enjoy!

  1. In the air fryer
    • Starting with a thawed filet, lightly brush with Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue and let it set out bringing the salmon to room temperature.
    • Preheat your air fryer for one minute at 400F.
    • Place the salmon in the air fryer for ten minutes.
    • After the initial ten minutes, brush generously again with Sweet Revenge Honey Barbecue sauce and cook for an additional three to five minutes, or until the sauce has a nice glaze on it.
    • Plate it and enjoy!
